About Krystal
I have always been drawn to the beauty of the past— old movies, worn textures, fragments of history left behind… My artwork is a blend of collage and mixed media, built from abstract paintings, gel prints, old and new magazines, books, ephemera, discarded materials that once had a life of their own. Each piece is a dialogue between past and present, weaving together remnants of memory into something new.
I love the process of discovery—flipping through aged pages, uncovering lost beauty, and letting intuition guide how it all comes together. There’s something about giving these forgotten pieces a second life, transforming nostalgia into something fresh and new that feels worthwhile and necessary. My art explores themes of time, identity, and the layers of personal and collective history that shape us. It pulls the past into forms that can express the feelings of today.
